Super fast, friendly, and helpful service. I came after 11am and missed breakfast so I ordered three tacos: pastor, lengua, and cabeza. Each taco had a nice heaping mound of meat, chopped onions, and a ton of cilantro. The pastor was my favorite of the three but the cabeza (beef head) definitely had some great flavor. The lengua (tongue) was yummy too, just not as good as the other two.
They have two home made hot sauces, a green and red. The green one is refreshing and mild, the red one has a good spicy bite to it.
I sat outside with my dog and it was overall a really great little lunch. Their outdoor seating area is small but clean, shaded and well maintained. I will be coming back to try one of their breakfast burritos! -

I didn't realize that the owners of Magpie's brought their knack for making mediocre food to Lupe's.
Now, I understand. -

When I lived in La Crescenta, passing by this place always left me a grain of mystery- a small Mexican restaurant that did not seem to fit in with the aesthetics of La Canada.
When I moved to La Canada, I still never saw this place open. The operating hours are just odd, but hey, if I want food, I have to follow the rules.
Stars aligned, and I was granted the opportunity to come by this place.
Turns out, their food is absolutely amazing, at a fair price. The service is a bit slow, but I remain patient all the time because I know they are putting all the best effort to making the world's god-darn best burritos.
Sadly, this place had a whole management change. I have no idea why, but I wish the original owners the best of luck. To the new owners, I hope you live up to the consistent quality. When I visited in late January, after the change, my portion was obviously smaller, and the taste wasn't bad or anything, but just different. I'm sure the new ownership is going through the adaptation phase, so I understand. Hopefully, they either return to their excellent original service or come up with other ingenious ways to survive. To be honest, since the options of having good Mexican food in the area is either here or Taco Bell, Lupe's Place will survive just right- but as to whether it will while being lenient knowing that the residents of La Canada have no better options is the debateable subject. -

It's hard to find good breakfast burritos with an equally balanced meat to potatoes ratio. I highly recommend their combo breakfast burrito. It even has a nice added touch with the bell peppers. I haven't tried anything else. But these breakfast burritos surely impress. Service is great as the lady behind the register is incredibly nice. Establishment is clean.
They have a small charge for credit card payments. -

Had the breakfast burrito twice. The first time it had beans. The second time I asked for no beans. And the lady said normally beans don't go in it. And the two guys that made my food were looking at me and laughing as I ate the burrito like they maybe did something to it. Not going back.
